A new era has begun- the cribless one!! Two days ago, during naptime (at the end of it) Jordon heard William's playful voice in his bedroom. This is not unusual, this is how he wakes up. What was unusual was that when Jordon opened the door a little to peek and watch what was going on- he couldn't see William in is crib. Instead, he was on his little couch.
"William!" Jordon exclaimed with surprise.
"Out" William replied matter-of-factly. And indeed, he had climbed out.
The next morning, when we could hear that he was awake, yet again when we went to get him, he was out of his crib. The good news was, that apparently he can do it without hurting himself as there is no audible crash noise. We decided to convert his crib to the daybed option, though, because we decided that would be safer. To be honest, I have mixed feelings. No crib is more work, but we were going to be making the transition soon anyways. James is going to join him once his feedings are more predictable.
We are now on our second day of a "free" William (thankfully, he can't open doors yet) and he's doing pretty well. Both naps have been great. Bedtime was a little harder to get him to stay in bed, but he did in the end.
And yes, he does sleep with 5 blankets (paynkits), 4 animals, and 1 purple pillow (pihwoh).

we had the worst time with Dallin switching from crib to bed. hopefully yours goes better. i love all of James' hair!
Moving up a phase is always so exciting and scarry (for parents!!)
He looks so happy and cute. Did James get a trim around his ears?
